Internal doors supplied and fitted in North Wales

Coastal homes and timber doors

Sea air and seasonal changes in humidity affect timber. Solid and engineered doors should be delivered a few days before fitting so they can acclimatise indoors, and unfinished doors need sealing on all six faces (including top and bottom edges) soon after trimming.

If you are choosing unfinished oak or pine, factor in finishing — either do it yourself or add “Door painting or finishing” in the configurator, which we price after assessment.

Period properties in Llandudno and Conwy

Many older properties have door openings that pre-date today’s standard sizes, and frames that have moved over a century or more. Use the “measure the opening” route and enter the width at the top, middle and bottom — the tool will warn you if the opening is out of square, and we will confirm before ordering.

Four-panel and Victorian-style doors suit many of these homes; browse by style to compare options.

Building Regulations in Wales

Wales has its own Building Regulations and guidance, which differ in places from England. Simple like-for-like replacement of ordinary internal doors does not normally need approval, but doors in escape routes of three-storey homes, flats and doors to garages can carry fire-safety requirements. Fire doors are always flagged for specialist review in our quotes.
